Welcome to the MIYO documentation. Here you’ll find information about the smart irrigation system, its devices, commissioning, and advanced topics such as LoRaWAN and firmware updates.

What is MIYO?

MIYO is a wireless, solar-powered irrigation system for gardens, patios, raised beds, and balconies. Unlike purely time-controlled irrigation computers, MIYO combines soil moisture measurement, weather data, and an evapotranspiration model to irrigate only when the plants really need it.

This allows MIYO to save up to 50% of water, protect soil and plants from overwatering, and be conveniently controlled via the app - even when you’re away.

System structure

A MIYO system typically consists of:

  • Cube - the central unit with Internet connectivity, control, and statistics (Cube series)
  • Sensor - measures soil moisture, temperature, and brightness
  • Valves - automatically or manually open and close the water flow

Sensoren and valves are solar-powered and wirelessly connected - no cables in the garden or battery changes are required.

Two product lines - one app

Series Range Control
Cube series approx. 100-200 m MIYO Cube on site
LoRaWAN series up to approx. 10 km LoRaWAN gateway / cloud

Both series can be controlled in the MIYO app.
